Out with the old and in with the new!! I should say a bit of a thank you to Sunset Cycles and Orange Mountain Bikes who have both pulled strings to try and get this for me in time. Fingers crossed!
So whilst out on a training ride tonight it seems my bike has gotten cold feet. It's decided to spit out it's crank which is on top of the broken cassette that I noticed prior to setting off! All in all an expensive night! Not good with just under 4 weeks to go!
A special thanks to Gary Forrest for your very generous donation.
Thank you to Tracy and Mick Corroll, Dave Dunford, Denise Bellfield and Carl Bradshaw.

As Graham gracefully bows out of the team he is replaced by Karl Mullarkey. Huge thanks to Graham for his efforts and continuing support.
Training run today at Gisburn forest. Totally knackered after it! That's what happens when you get lazy, so time to get serious. We've all upped a gear now and started the new year as we mean to go on. Painfully!
Here's Karl trying to work out where it all went wrong today...
HAPPY NEW YEAR
Thank you Caroline Oulton.
HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY BROOKE!!!!
Thanks to "Bertie" for you generous donation.
Thanks to Stephen Bilsbury for your donation. You should blow the cobwebs off that bike Billy and come out for a spin!
Thank you Vicki Reynolds for your donation.
Just back from a training ride in the Lake District. We cycled 17 miles and took in part of the C2C route over Walna Scar (2000ft) BIG wake-up call! We have a huge amout of work to do to be ready for this ride but all the more determined to see it through now. Ste had a big crash on the way down at about 1000ft. He's injured his arm and hip but managed to walk it down. His bike is a bit of a mess though and his helmet is destroyed but he'll be back at it soon enough.
A 'Retweet' from Alastair Campbell tonight, just waiting for 177,082 of his followers to visit here now...

Training continues and is going well for everyone, Ive now lost 8lbs in just over a week, which is a bit alarming but I suspect that may begin to slow as there can't be much more beer inside me!
Blown away by the support today. Biggest thanks surely has to go to Dominic Hensman who has personally sponsored us £50!! An amazingly generous donation.

Last 'blow-out' before the serious training starts was a stag do last night. Thanks to the lads who were forced to hand over a pound at various points during the night raising our first £24.
I was at a pub today drinking diet coke and even declined a pudding!
Paul Creaney will be joining us at St. Bees now too.
So my pants split today at work, rather embarrassing. Luckily for me I had an emergency pair in the car, the things a fat lad has to do eh?
Note to self; Must start training, not just to get fitter but to save money on pants!!
Chris Wyper joins the team, not a fat lad at all, he makes us sick!
The basic plan has been hatched so we are just trying to arrange an exact date and rally some more troops. Hopefully summer of 2013 when we are guaranteed the sunshine...
Website is up, it is in very early stages of devlopment so please check back later for more info and hopefully a link to donate.
Training starts today then :( I suppose we should really put up a weigh in on here somewhere and a picture of us as we currenty look (not pretty). I chuffing love Bran Flakes me!
New member of the team, Marc Beardsworth! Not really as fat as he looks but he'll pass as a fat lad.
First training run tonight - 7 miles, not quite 210 but it's a start.
When my daughter was 11 weeks old in December 2010, she was taken seriously ill with Bronchiolitis during a trip to Northern Ireland to see grandparents.
After 4 days of life-support and a total of 2 weeks hospital care she has made a total recovery and is a healthy little girl about to turn 2. But without the care from the staff at The Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children she unquestionably would not be here today. So as a tiny effort of our thanks, my friends and I decided to raise money for the staff-run charity, Helping Hand.
I initially cycled from Manchester to Blackpool in 2011 which at 62 miles is no mean feat for a chubby chap. However we have decided to top that by cycling 210 miles from Coast to Coast (St. Bees to Robin Hood's Bay) and to make it little more difficult, we are going to do it off-road. Full details can be found by clicking on 'The Route' link above.
3rd - 8th August 2013
